LARA TAN
DIRECTOR & DESIGNER & PHOTOGRAPHER
Born in Ankara 2004, Lara Tan is a multidisciplinary visual artist, filmmaker, photographer and designer based in both Ankara and Istanbul. She graduated from Bilkent University Communication and Design alongside with a Graphic Design minor.
Her practice spans creative producing, cinematography, and directing. Her audiovisual work is also formed by fashion editorial and stage photography, as well as musical performances. Her performance experience is derived from the Bilkent Musical Team which shaped her directing actors approach.
Tan’s practice is defined by a commitment to multimedia techniques as well as practices that merge method centered observational, experimental and archival approach to storytelling.
